Airport Send Off

27 Jun 2010 (Sun): Lay Kee leaves for KL for some work purpose so we decided to do a send off at the airport as well.
Here is Lay Kee doing the checking in procedure at Terminal 2 - Silkair counter.

Lionel & Rachel wanted to part of the check in baggage as well - all ready to hop onto the conveyor belt. LOL.

Lionel trying to take a pic of me...we'll see who's faster...hehe

Walking towards Macs for some snacks.

Ah Ma & Rachel, waiting for food.

Ah Ma talking to Lionel & Rachel.

The kids with Lay Kian & Ah Ma.

The free Coca Cola glass which comes with every upsize meal.

Asking Lay Chian if she want it.

Ramblings of Lionel & Rachel.
After Lay Kee went into the depature lounge, we proceeded for our dinner at Changi Village - 鱼乡海鲜村. On the way back, the kids saw lots of airplane taking off & landing as we drove past the gates of the airport runway. When we reached Khatib, Rachel burst out asking: "爸爸,你不是讲要带我去看飞机. 飞机呢? " ( translated: Daddy, didnt u say u wanna bring me to see airplanes? Where are they?
We laughed & told her we were reaching home soon. Well, she did nt like the idea of nt seeing more airplanes & cried immediately. However, it was the MRT passing by above at Khatib Station that made stopped crying. She was just equally happy to see the MRT. :O)

Wedding of Lucinda & Thomas

On this joyous occasion, our parents Mrs Lim - Tan Kha Meng & Mr & Mrs Lim Heng Jiang, together with us, Thomas & Lucinda warmly invite Mr & Mrs Cliff Seah to our wedding banquet on Saturday 26 June 2010 at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.

Lionel & Rachel , js moments before leaving the house.

A quick shot of them both.

At Mandarin Oriental. We had a cocktail reception prior to serving lunch.

Stage Decor - very simple with the wedding set-up using candle chandelier, champagne glass formation & wedding cake with background light to warm up the atmosphere.

Two different kind of thank you gift, placed at alternate sitting.

One - a heart shape ball bearing which jingle & tinkle when shaked.

Two - a set of "wedding measurements" that gives you the perfect measurement for a perfect wedding.

A pinch of joy, A dash of tenderness, A spoonful of affection, A heap of love.
Lionel & Rachel.

Posing in front of the stage; Rachel looks so demure here.

My unique VICTORY sign...

Silly faces again...

The hosts for the evening - Andy & Jiahui (if i remembered their names correctly)

First dish - Mandarin Oriental Combination Platter - silver baits, roasted eel, prawn salad & roasted pork. ( but i saw lobster salad too).

Second dish - Shark's Fin - double boiled with chicken & conpoy.

Both kids enjoyed the soup. They even had a second helping.

Third dish - Pork Ribs - deep fried & glaze with honey. (Rachel loves this dish)

All gone.

Daddy asked me to use the table napkin to put under Rachel's chin , to prevent her from dirtying her clothes.

Fourth dish - Scallop - stir fried with XO sauce & served with deep-fried yam apple . ( This dish is a little spicy so the kids ate only the yam balls)

After the 2nd grand entry ( i had a video below), this is the champagne pouring ceremony. May u both be blessed with eternal bliss.

Preparing for "yum seng " ceremony.

Fifth dish - Fillet of Cod - baked with superior teriyaki sauce.
Each & everyone of us had a helping this size.

The little girl wearing the white gown is Si Han (思涵) - Yan Qing's elder daughter. She is pretty, isnt she?

The kids fooling around.

Photo taking session - (top) Karen & her hubby, Thomas & Lucinda, Mr & Mrs Lim ( Lucinda's parents), Ivan, little Toby & Mummy, Lucinda's elder & second sister.
(bottom) Aunty Fanny (Ivan's mum), Gabriel ( son of Karen & hubby), Mr & Mrs Lim ( Karen's parents) & Mr Lim ( Ivan's father)
** Why so many Lims...All the 3 brothers, that's why. :)
Sixth dish - Chili Crab Mantou - local specialty with crispy mini bun.
Yummy! The crab meat were all peeled & shredded.

Delicious!

Look at Rachel's mouth!

See how she enjoys her brownie.

Seventh & the last dish - Western Dessert - baked chocolate pudding. Yes, with hot fudge oozing out. :)

Playing with little Toby.

Dinner at Tanglin Mall

Okay, right after the trip to Sungei Buloh, we had dinner on the same day @ Tanglin Mall as well. ( I've forgotten abt these photos i took till i took my camera out for some uploading when we attended a wedding lunch reception on 26 Jun 2010, so i thought i better post it on the same day as our outing).

Not much to be described. Just photos of the kids having fun & making silly faces. Its just that Daddy was meeting his client here at Tanglin Mall, so we decided to have our dinner as well.
