Just as i was typing the below post, Lionel's school called & Ms Chew was on the line. She told me that Lionel & his classmate sort of bump into each other & now Lionel has a bump on his forehead whereas nothing visible or no bumps shown yet on the other classmate.
Ms Chew told me she had asked the 2 boys what exactly happened. Lionel explained that he was walking back to his seat & his classmate was running towards the kitchen when they knocked into each other. The classmate also said exactly the same thing. Ms Chew then reprimanded the other student for running around in school as this was against the school rules. They were to apologise to each other. But then, the other classmate sort of change his statement & accused Lionel of bumping into him instead.
The school has already applied medication on the bump on Lionel's forehead & Lionel has since resume his normal activities though both boys did cry initially after the incident. I called my sil to inform her of this incident just in case Lionel felt giddy or in pain, she can proceed to bring him to see a doctor after school.
Wow, nowadays the school called to inform the parents immediately after an incident. Last time, its always the parents calling up the school or marching down to ask what happened to their child if they spotted as much as a bump, scratch or cut or if their child behaves abnormally after school. Usually, the child will try to hide their injury cos they were afraid of being scolded. This is a good measurement taken by the school, to inform parents/guardian first hand.
But do u think the school is also afraid of being held resposible? They might say things like " i already tell u...its not our fault if anything happens later..." What are your views?
