Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

20 Jun 2010 - Sun

Firstly, wishing all fathers, daddies, papas & fathers-to-be, daddies-to-be & papas-to-be:

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
We went to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve this morning. Daddy told us we get to see huge monitor lizards & we were excited.
Good morning everyone! Its 7.30am.

Behind me is 姑婆's house - the one with 2 red lanterns highing up high. The one with the yellow umbrella is our neighbours' unit.

Inside the car. Lionel here looks like a mexican amigo with his hat on.

Lionel acting plain silly.

Passing by Kranji Reservoir..

We've arrived...

Lionel looks like a park ranger here though

Rachel - my little HDB 'tai tai', though nt so well-dressed here. :P

Am i cool or what?!

On the news last night, Sungei Buloh will be closed for revamption end of this year & open to public again in year 2013.

Taken outside a cave

This little fellow scared Mummy out of her wits. It moved of all a sudden when we approached the boardwalk.

On the boardwalk. We saw many small creatures such as squrriels, crabs, mudskipper & of course, the not so small & even bigger monitor lizards.

Here's another fellow...

Notice the outline of some buildings in the distant? That is on Msia land. We are so close to our neighbour.

Taking a break...

Directions..

Daddy studying the map, deciding on which route to take.

Too tired to move...

Kicking stones as we move along..

From the top of the watch-tower; no birds in sight. :( Birds will only start to migrate South from Sep to March.

A crab in a tree hole...

"Papa, wait..."
