Today, both mother & daughter went for their check up. Rachel for her jaundice chk & Mummy for her post natal check. Both results were good.
Rachel's level down to only 78 - which is below 100. Doc say below 100 is the safest. Good...dun hv to go back for test anymore. Her next visit to the polyclinic on 17 Aug for her 2nd dose of Hep B jab.
As for Mummy, the doc told her all is well; uterus back in place, tummy has gone down - no more swelling. Very good!
Oh forgot to update. Rachel finally got her birth registered. Hehe...her birthcert no. very easy to remember...oopps , shdnt tell u...mouth zipped!!! And of cos, the old folks begun their 4D spree.....

Mummy says i gettin lazier nowadays cos every nite when i returned from Ah Ma's place. i will run to the room & ask Mummy to turn on the VCD for me to watch. Either Barney, Charlotte's Web (but i dunno hw to say, so i always tell mummy: "watch pig" - 看小猪") or Shark Tales (same thing, i tell mummy: " watch shark - 看鲨鱼").
The below fotos were taken quite some time back when i was watching these VCDs. Mummy wanted to take more shots of me but i too lazy to look at mummy. My attention was focus more on the program (vcd show). Mummy gt irritated and left me alone. Kekeke..

3 "Zhengs" (Hokkien) - by mummy
"Aiyoyoyoyo - Rachel has 3 ar.." my mil exclaimed! ...just found out my ger has 3, not 1 not 2 but 3 "zhengs" (the small round bald parts on ur kids' head - some close together, some far apart, ey...if u know wat i mean...dun really know hw to explain)
Some old folks say 1 zheng is a good kid, 2 means terrible & 3 ....wa liao.... 无药可救了. But again, some others says that 1 zheng is only normal, 2 is a clever one & 3 means this one is a genius in all aspect. Dunno which is true la.... to me, 1 or 2 or 3 doesnt mean anything to me....
My boi has 2 & my ger has 3.....so wat la.....doesnt pose a problem to me...haiz...old people ar...must look out for tis kind of things one leh.... (even my sil....let out such a big expression when she saw the 3 zhengs...) alamak! hello...she only 2 yrs older than me....she also follow old folks tales....read & read la...read so much rubbish...people say wat, u believe wat...haiz....

Cant wait to see wat Rachel's birthcert no is. i only know is T07xxxxx/X. 07 for children born in the year 2007.

Jaundice! - by rachel
Since my discharge from the hospital on 18 Jul, i hv been to 3 blood tests for jaundice check. (boo hoo hoo - everytime the nurse poke my little foot, i let out a big loud cry).

Gd news!. My level is going down but the doc says the best & safest level is below 100. Auntie Maggie (CL) uses the "Ng Kee" (hokkien) to bath for me. Its a kind of flower dat turns yellow when mixed with water. Old people says "yellow fights yellow" (jaundice = yellow). So it will help to bring down the yellowish thingy.
Next check up on sat 28 jul; hope by then the level goes down down down. Doc says if jaundice nt check & treated properly, will cause the young ones like me, to hv high fever, fits or even mental development problems. Better be safe!

Finally...Rachel is awake
Halo everyone...tis me Rachel...hello aunties, uncles & frens. Today is my 4th day at home. My mummy managed to capture me with my eyes wide open, after my noon nap.
Feeling so sleepy....mummy, dun disturb me....ur camera irritating me!

My sweetie pie - Rachel Seah. My mil finally confirm on the above chinese name : 佳璇. jia(1) xuan (2). She ask the fengshui master to think for her one - 游龙子 （ written tis way?) becos she cracked her brians tinking of names liao. And so much stuff to consider as well, the 5 elements, the time Rachel was borned & the strokes of the wordings....so she gave up...hehe

Birth Story of Rachel
OoOoOoOOoOO..........finally, at long last, my bb sister, Rachel has arrived. Her birthdate sooooooo easy to remember - 17 July 2007. When Mummy went to have hospital to have her delivered, the nurse even thot Mummy wanted to purposely have Rachel on tis particular date.
According to the nurse, alot of pple chose tis date to have their bb - be it induced or c-sect. Another 2 popular dates - 07.07.2007 & 20.07.2007. Okay...cut the crap, here's Mummy birth story...
16 July - Mummy went for her check up. The gynae say Mummy's cervix has already opened 4cm with a little bleeding. He wants Mummy to be admitted into the hospital the next day as labor cld be anytime. Mummy asked if she can wait for contractions to begin first anot before comin into the hospital. Gynae say better not as scared wait might nt be in time. Wonder wat the gynae meant???
17 July - Suppose to be at the hospital @ 8am but Mummy "bo chap". Why go so early? Mummy not in any form of pain. So she slowly take her time...bath, pack some last min stuff, ate breakfast & some dilly dallying...haha. Arrived hospital at 9.55am
10.05am - Sent to Delivery Suite - Rm 17 (haha - purrrrrfect - 17 jul rm 17). Mummy undress & lie on the bed, waiting for the doc.
12.20pm - Finally saw the doc. She broke Mummy's water bag to begin labor.
(why wait so long...well, as i hv told u, alot of pple chose tis date to hv their bb, so all the docs engaged in either delivery or operation. Mummy waited till her hair turned white liao)
1.30pm - Mummy started to feel some mild contractions. Ignore as still bearable. Watched HBO movies, together with Daddy. Laugh at the jokes created in the show.
2pm - Contractions continued but still mild & bearable for Mummy. 2.30pm, 3pm, 3.30pm...oopps, contractions gettin intense liao.... the nurse told Mummy if she hv the feelin of wanting to hv her bowels removed, must informed her. Mummy nodded her head, too much pain to answer the nurse.
3.45pm - Mummy screamed, said very painful...cannot tahan....but ignored all pain relief options.. (brave Mummy). The nurse checked Mummy & told her already can see baby head. PUSH! PUSH!
4.05pm - After abt 5 pushes, Rachel emerged. But Mummy kind of worried cos Rachel made no sound. "Dun worry. She will cry soon...." the nurse says. Waaaaaahhhhhh......So lovely! Rachel cried liao.
Nurse say the umbilical cord was wrapped round Rachel's neck once, but loosely. Aiyo....if Mummy's labor prolonged, where will tis umbilical cord go? Around the neck even more & tighter??.... choy choy choy...tis did not happen!
4.30pm - the doc came in, did some stitching up cos Mummy had a minor tear (laceration). All is fine.
5pm - Mummy was wheeled up to her ward - ward 34 bed 25. [ 3425 ]...hehe some 4D number for u...
18 Jul - Mummy was discharged & came home together with Rachel.
Today is the 20 Jul. Rachel's 3rd day home. Mummy hv a CL - confinement lady to helped out.
Very experienced & professional. Took care of Rachel & Mummy very well.
Will posted some fotos of Rachel soon as Daddy took the camera away for his project work. Mummy already demanded to have the camera back, so she can saved all the pics & post them into tis blog to share with everyone.

Some Thoughts of Mummy...
Approaching week 39 liao & still no signs of princess making her appearance. Is she so comfy inside my womb dat she does not show interest in life outside? With my boi, Lionel, he was so kan chiong; at week 36+5, he already wan to come out. Rachel......dun you wanna see ur daddy, mummy & kor kor & the rest of the family members, awaiting the arrival of your royal highness...
Though i still hope for her to arrive on 20 Jul 2007, i'm getting a little tired of tis pregnancy. Half of me still excited & waiting for her arrival but another half of me gettin sianz liao. And being the almost last 1 or 2 weeks of pregnancy, i do often feel dat she, my princess is buying her time & gettin lazy. Wat i meant by lazy is dat she does not kick & dance as often as before. Her movements are comin to a part when as & when she feels like it, 1 or 2 kicks is all she would give me. Then it would be quietness through out. Tis makes me worry & starts wondering if she is alright. No matter how i twist & turn myself physically, she will remain silent. But the comforting thing is, i can still feel her heartbeat on the right side of my tummy.
Hb is very eager to see Rachel & keep insisting to "help" me to bring on labor. By means of bringing on labor, it is to stimulate or do something to trigger it. Sex or nipple stimulation can always play a part though it might not always work. But somehow, i'm feeling very sensitive to touch rite now & do not wan hb to "help" When he try to be funny, i would scream at him & tell him to stop it. Usually, i will welcome his initiative..hahaha
At my last check up, (09 Jul - Mon), bb weighs at 2.6kg. My next check up will be on comin Mon - 16 Jul. Gynae say will then do a cervix dilation check for me...to see whtr my cervix has dilated anot & if yes, to hw much. Tis will actually help in gauging when will labor begin. I certainly hope to hv my princess sometime next week. i dun wish for it to prolong after my EDD.
But of cos, my wish is to have her on 20 jul la...already started my maternity leave...too tired to work liao...every morning is a drag to wake up & go to work. Then sit in office & do nothing for now its the low season for travellers...i'm in a travel line.....time seems to pass so slowly..
Some frenz tell me why not work till u pop; me dun wan....anyway, i 'm only taking 1 week b4 my EDD...my initial plan was to take from the 23 jul onwards, therefore my last day wld be on 20 Jul but i really sianz sianz sianz liao....so no choice lor. What the heck anyway!

Rachel's growth in Mummy's tummy - from the beginning till now...
These are all images/scans of Rachel's during her "stay" in Mummy's tummy. Inch by inch, bit by bit she grew. Dun ask me where are the head, the hands or the legs...i myself also cant see. But for mummies out there, i'm sure u can make heads & tails on the different parts of the body for u are already an expert. Mummy also can but Daddy still cannot differentiate even after Mummy explain to him.
Next Mon 09 Jul will be Mummy's next check up. I'm wondering how is Rachel now. Last weight taken was 60.8kg for Mummy & 2.2.kg for Rachel. Hehe, Mummy has been eatin non stop for the past few weeks; ice cream, cup corn, mua chee, bird nest, durians, chocolates, crackers, chips, biscuits, bubble tea, coconut.....
Ah Ma say it should be for another week before Rachel makes her appearance into tis world. Dun count on dat! Mummy hopes for 20 Jul 2007 - 20 07 2007. Some forum frens tell Mummy why not consider 07 07 07. Mummy says no. She still wanna spent her time with me. At least to bring me out on Suns. And also Mummy still not prepared yet although her pre labor signs are foreseen.

01 July 2007 (Sunday)
Today, Daddy & Mummy bought me to Sentosa. My 1st trip there. We drove in by car, paid about $3 per adt for the admission. Being below 3 yrs, i need not pay.
Mummy say there's the musical fountain show at 2 different time slots; 7.40pm & 8.40pm but we have to purchase tickets for that. Unlike last time, the show is FOC.
Daddy looked at the map & pointed out the musical show will be held at Beach Station. Oopps! Where are we now? Daddy hv been driving around but couldnt locate Beach Station. Aiya, Mummy pointed out Beach Station is along Merlion's Walk Road.
So we drove along & follow the sign leading to Merlion. Hey Presto! We saw Beach Station finally.
We bought 2 adts ticktets at $6 each. The slot for 7.40pm is already fully booked, so Mummy buy the tickets for the 8.40pm show.
After this, we went to the Underwater World as it was still early. Admission fees at $19.90 per adt. Children under 3 yrs FOC. And to park at the carpark, we got to pay another $10 per entry. Both Daddy & Mummy almost fainted. What? Need to pay $10???. The car park attendant then told us: " Dun worry! Its fully redeemable if we purchase the Underwater World Admission tickets."
Heng ar! Sweat man! The admission also include the admission to Dolphin's Lagoon but becos it was already 6pm, the lagoon is closed liao so we actually lugi.
Inside the Underwater World, we saw lots & lots of marine creatures, fishes, sharks, stingrays, starfish, dugongs, crabs, sea-horses and even NEMO..(hahahha)...etc.
Daddy bought me to the Touch Pool to have a feel of some of the marine creatures, like the star fish & sting rays.
After the musical fountain show (not quite entertaining), we head home. I was so tired that i fell asleep in the car.
All in all, including food & drinks, we spent around $70 plus. 久 久 一 次 。。。okay la!

Mummy & Me at the Zoo
29 Jun 2007 (Friday)
Mummy bought me to the zoo today. We took bus no 171 from Yishun & change to bus no 138 along Mandai Road. The weather was very hot. Mummy had told me the night before, she cannot carry me while in the zoo; i hv to walk & also cannot run cos there are alot of vehicles in & around the zoo.
Mummy says if at any point of time i behaved badly, we will go back home straightaway.
We left the house around 10am. When we arrived at the zoo, it was nearly 11am as we waited quite some time for bus no 138. This bus is comin from Ang Mo Kio & loops at Mandai Zoo.
Upon arrival at the zoo, Mummy took some fotos of me & bought the admission ticket. Only needed for 1 adult cos i'm still below 3 yrs, so my admission is free.

Mummy bought me to the zoo today. We took bus no 171 from Yishun & change to bus no 138 along Mandai Road. The weather was very hot. Mummy had told me the night before, she cannot carry me while in the zoo; i hv to walk & also cannot run cos there are alot of vehicles in & around the zoo.
Mummy says if at any point of time i behaved badly, we will go back home straightaway.
We left the house around 10am. When we arrived at the zoo, it was nearly 11am as we waited quite some time for bus no 138. This bus is comin from Ang Mo Kio & loops at Mandai Zoo.
