Trip to the Farm

Hooray! Another outing. This time round, 小姑 wants to bring us to some farms for a visit. I slept in ah ma's hse the previous night. Rachel & mummy only came down at ard 9am. Anyway, 二姑 was suppose to come & pick us up but she was late.

Gettin ready to go out.
Our first stop: Hay Dairies Goat Farm, off Lim Chu Kang Road. The moment we stepped out of our car, we can smell the strong smell of the goats & its surroundings. Phew! What a smell! But we soon gt used to it.

Rachel's turn.

4 adts VS 4 kids. Why only can see 3 adts? The other one taking the foto la. Dude!
Due to the H1N1 virus going on, AVA advised against close contact with the animals, therefore no feeding & petting are allowed. Next destination, Jurong Frog Farm, along the same stretch of road.

Pond full of bull frogs. There has to be more than 20 ponds.

A lady doing commentary. How to differentiate a male & a female? Alamak! I forgot! The yellow belly one is the male, i think. Whereas the white coloured belly is the female. Or izit the other way round? Poor memory. Excuse me. :P

Ribbit....

Frogs mating...

C'mon baby! Let's boogie.

2 little ones having their snacks - cheese biscuits & goat milk.
We wanted to visit the cow farm as well but when we drove by, the gates are closed & the area seems deserted & vacant. The grounds do not seem to be in operation. Nobody is about so we left. Mummy suggested D'Krangi Animal Farm Resort since we are ard the area so we head towards our next destination.
We only visited the plantation. Forgotten abt the mini animal farm that mummy has heard abt. The weather was freaking hot & we were perspiring like butter melting under strong heat.
A banana plant.

Chili Padi plant.

Papaya plant.

Papaya plantation .

A whole row of huts. Not for residential purposes but rather, shops selling stuff like prunes, fruits, drinks, etc

Nothing to do. So 二姑丈 suggested riding on a 4 wheel bike. This is something like those rides u need to paddle while on water but in this case, its on land. So we hv 1 adt to each child. 4 bikes in total.

We are off......

Is Rachel driving?

Lionel with 小姑.
Its hard work paddling the bikes, especially when u go up slope. U need more than ur own strength. But of cos we kids enjoy la. The adts are the ones paddling ma. Hehe...
We decided to head for lunch & wondered where to eat. 二姑 suggested Jurong Point. We went to Old Town Cafe & ate noodles, nasi lemak, chicken curry & kaya toast for lunch. Then we shopped ard. Its already 2pm plus. Us kids were all very tired so the adts suggested heading back home.
Next outing TBA. 小姑 mentioned something abt New Water. Is this the same as Marina Water Barrage?
