Chicken Pox

On Mon 06 July evening, Lay Kee pointed out to me some insect like bites on Lionel's forehead & neck. I applied some ointment on it & assuming its insect bite only, we totally ignore it.

However, on Tues morning, daddy was getting Lionel ready for school ( i had already left for work). He undressed him & saw quite a number of so call insect bites on lionel's body; front & back. Even the hands & legs were not spared. Some of the bites already hv puz oozing out. Daddy confirmed its chicken pox possibility & immediately bot him to see the doc.

The doc gave him some calomile lotion to apply & paracetomol in case Lionel came down with the fever. True enuff, that tues night at abt 0200am, Lionel was hot all over. His temp rise up to 38.5. Daddy gave him some paracetomol. Luckily, his fever had already subside in the morning.

Oh ya! Doc gave him 14 days mc. So Lionel has not been gg to sch for the past 2 weeks. However, his teacher did came by & pass him some homework to do; English, Phonics, Mathematics, Chinese, Tracing & Writing... Anyway, he is as energetic & as active as a monkey, so doing homework is no big deal. Lay Kian will supervised him daily & i will usually check on his work in the evening when i return from work.

2moro marks the end of his mc period but his face & neck still hv the marks of chicken pox. Dunno whtr to let him go sch anot. May scare all his classmates away.

And who says chicken pox is not contagious.... we hv another victim... who else but lionel's daddy.

On last fri evening ( the day we celebrated Rachel's bday, daddy was already nt feeling right. He suffered a headache & had the runs. Doc diagnosed it as stomach flu & prescribe the neccessary medication. But daddy sort of suspected otherwise cos he saw a few red pimple like marks surfacing on his skin.

On Sat morning, more marks appeared & daddy started to feel the itchness. He gt a slight fever too. But as work is piling up, daddy has no choice but to continue working.

Today, sun 19 July 2009, daddy went to see the doc & sure enuff, its chicken pox lor. Daddy jokingly told Lionel its all his fault.

One after another...who's next? Either me or Rachel liao lor.... (touch wood)
