Gifts For Rachel

Mummy's fren just came back from overseas on a business trip, therefore she missed my Full Month celebration. She felt apologetic so she bought tis gifts for me. The one on the left is a makan set with plate, bowl, drinking cup & a pair of fork & spoon. The one on the rite is a musical animal farm. Press the animals & hear the sound made by each individual animal.

DVDs

Mummy bought tis DVDs from Phuket. Shrek 2 & 3, Over The Hedge, Underdog, Ratatouille & Flushed Away. Er......tis are all pxxxxxd ones. Shhhhh......

Mummy wanted to get Harry Potter 5 but the store owner say the er... recording no good. Daddy requested to play it. True enuff, the background so black, see nothing one. And the picture always jumping.

Daddy bought some other shows as well: The Bourne, Casino Royale, Apocalypto, Transformers & Live Free or Die Hard.

Elephant Hat

Tis elephant hat bought & given to me from Mummy & Daddy. I love it so much dat i wanna wear it everyday. I wear it to the shop, i wear it when we go kai kai, i even hug it to sleep. But now, Mummy dun allow me to wear it to the shop, least i anyhow throw & lose it. So its sitting at home. But every nite whe i come back, i will take & wear it. Just for the sake lor. Hehe.

Rashes on me - Rachel

I went to stay with 姑婆 while my parents went away to Phuket. Mummy came back from her trip & bought me home. To her disgust, she found rashes all over & around my neck & my bottom. Mummy was sad. To see me covered in rashes is heart aching to her.

Mummy suspected dat 姑婆 never listen to Mummy cos Mummy did informed her after every bath to apply the nappy rash cream - Desitin on me. But 姑婆 told Mummy dat only if rashes appears, then apply. No rashes no nid to apply. See la. She never apply and rashes broke out on my bottom. Mummy complained to Ah Ma & she say will inform 姑婆 to apply the cream after each bath. Lionel Kor Kor also kenna the last time. 姑婆 never apply the cream & rashes also broke out. Kor Kor walked like a duck. At first, the adults all thought maybe Kor Kor legs pain cos he fell but when they changed his pampers, to their horror, they saw the terrible work of the rashes. Ah Ma immediately called 姑婆 and scolded her.

Mummy fight the rashes with the nappy rash creme.....healing very well.

And the rashes dat covers my neck, Mummy suspects its the rope dat ties the chinese talisman which 姑婆 hangs around my neck. Becos of my perspiration & the rough rub against my skin, thus the rashes. Mummy took out the talisman & apply the nappy rash cream on my neck. Healing in progress....looks much better now.

Mummy has asked Ah Ma to buy the clip which can clip the talisman onto my clothes...better solution. One, can protect me. Two, can prevent rashes.

Mummy dun wan to tell 姑婆 face to face abt my problem, else if 姑婆 become angry & then dun wan to help look after me when Mummy returns to work, then jialat liao lor. Mummy scared wait 姑婆 might tink Mummy so clever, Mummy look after me herself lor. 姑婆 will say : "我吃盐比你吃米多. If u so smart, then u do urself. "

So Ah Ma say she will go & tell her. See la, only 3 -4 days & 1.5 hrs flight apart, i kenna tis kind of rashes liao. Mummy say if they went for 1 week or more & for 4hrs or more flight apart, then how???

心痛啊！！！Sob Sob!

Mummy somemore hv to withdraw twice from ATM machine cos nt enuff cash liao. Dun see Thai Baht small small wor cos it disappear very fast. 100 after 100... all finish in a very short time. Actually never buy much also but dunno where all the money disappeared to lor.

Mummy: Buying spree in Thai Baht or China RMB or Indonesian Rupiah ok. But buying spree in USD, NO WAY lor. i will declare bankrupcy first liao. Hehehe...

Phuket Expenditure - 19 Sep to 22 Sep

Hey Hey Hey! Mummy has return from her trip with Daddy. Good food, good weather, good buys ( bargain & bargain non stop. all done by daddy. expert manz!), good fun & excitment. Thank God for the beautiful sunny weather everyday. Mummy came back with sunburn on her. Poor thing! Her shoulders & back "burning" terribly. Ouch! Optional tours joined: FantaSea Show, Phi Phi Island & Wild River Rafting. Mummy wanted to try Para-Sailing but it cost 800 baht ~ S$36 & only for a short while. Not worth it. Mummy will worked out their total expenses & tell u wat damages are done. Below are some extracts of their trip.

Patong Resort Hotel lobby. From the looks of it, do u tink its a 3 star hotel? No rite? So never judge a hotel just by its name. Catergorise as a 3 star resort, but given the convenient location, the clean & neat rooms, the high class restuarants serving international cusines, whats more u looking for. Patong Beach merely a 5 mins walk & Patong Town, just behind the hotel.

Streets of Patong Beach area by day. Empty, quiet, uncrowded. But by night, its different. The streets come alive with jazz music, disco, rock & roll. Every where, the pubs, bars & grills, discotheques, restauarants are all crowded with people. Bangla Road, the most "noisiest" street in Patong. Closed to traffic in the evening, packed with people, both locals & foreigners. Mummy dare not take fotos of the street cos the "tranversites" (Ah Quahs) are everywhere. In Thailand, they are called Ladyboys. Wait u take foto & they thot u are taking picts of them, they will come & demand tipping from u.

FantaSea - "Exalt The Myth", "Explore The Mystery", "Experience The Magic".

" Miss FantaSea & You Will Miss Phuket" Mummy cannot take fotos of the show as no camera & video cam corder allowed. They even request u to deposit ur cameras at the counter but of cos, mummy did nt la. Why risked having ur camera stolen? Who knows rite? Just dun take out the camera can liao lor.

View of Phi Phi Island. The boat ride to the island was bumpy but fun, according to Mummy. Each time the boat bump against the waves, u will literally spring up from ur seat & back down again. But not suitable for pregnant ladies & those with back problems. The ride from Chalong Bay takes about 45mins to 1hr on good weather conditions. The guide told us that if it was last week, all trips to Phi Phi Island had to be cancelled due to very bad weather conditions - heavy thunderstorm.

Monkey Feeding on Monkey Beach. Quite fierce if you try to touch them, especially those with the babies clinging onto the mothers. Some innocent children tried to touch the monkeys & were of course ended up being chased by the monkeys, hissing away. The children, of course, ran away, crying.

Man deep in thoughts. Daddy preparing himself b4 the dive. Hahaha! Actually not la. Daddy just came up from the waters & resting. Very "chuan"! (breathless)

Elephant Camp. Luckily the elephants did not raise their trunks & kissed mummy as did one elephant to a tourist. Haha. She screamed like mad. After she realised wat happen, she laughed at her silliness.

River Rafting Expenditure. The first 2 people, each on the left & right were mummy & daddy. 4 passengers to each raft with 2 guides, 1 in front & 1 at the back. They are the ones, managing the twist & turns while rafting against the river currents. And being playful, they purposely haul u against the currents, knock u against the rocks, pushing against one another & splashing water on one another,therefore giving the rafting even more excitement & fun & double fun. Mummy screamed all the way. Hahaha! Sounds shiok! Wish i could do river rafting as well. There were a total of 8 rafts out on the river so u can imagine the fun fun fun......

Mummy's Mixed Feelings!

I'm having mixed feelings today. (1) Happy. (2) Sad/Can't bear to. (3) Sian. Why? You may ask. What all tis feelings? Well, let me tell you.

Happy is becos i can finally go for a short getaway to Phuket 2moro for 4 days with hubby. Put down everything and indulge in total enjoyment/excitment.

Sad/Can't bear to is becos i have to leave Rachel with my aunt for tis few days while we are away. My aunt will be helping us to look after her tis few days & then after when we return, we will bring her back. Thereafter, she will be taking over full care of Rachel when i return back to work. Although i can finally have good nap & do my own things, there's tis feeling of something missing. Although she pissed me off at times with her persistent crying & nagging, i will feel an emptiness inside me. But at least i know, she is in good hands. My aunt is an expert in caring for kids. She looked after Lionel, my son b4 as well.

Sian is becos when i check the internet for the weather forecast of Phuket, it says scattered thunder storm every day. Sian liao lor! If everyday really like dat rained non stop, what can we do in Phuket? Everyday stuck in the hotel room meh? I hope & pray dat the forecast is terribly wrong manz! I want sunshine everyday. Please God! Hear my prayers.

And oh, plus the recent plane crash of the budget airliner of Thailand in Phuket, its also gives me the creeps. Although I'm travelling by Silkair, it is still a "plane" neh.

Hoepfully, everything turns out perfectly perfect!. Warm sunshine everyday, plenty of enjoyment & excitment, good bargains/buys, "finger licking good" & delicious food, safe & smooth take off & landing of flight both from Singapore & Phuket.

Should correct my sentence. Not hopefully, its a MUST! MUST BE PERFECTLY PERFECT!!!. MUST MUST MUST!!! Hehe.

Mummu hv to wait for the VCD/DVD to be out first cos Daddy says he dun wanna watch. Mummy will buy & i will watch. But i can betcha when the VCD or DVD is turned on, Daddy sure will watch one. Mark my words!.

Mummy also wanna "chio" Daddy to watch tis movie but Daddy says this is a movie for kids. He is also not interested. (Daddy, dun speak so fast). So Mummy hv to wait till the VCD/DVD is out & then she will buy. And then i will watch. Hehe. And of course, Daddy will also watched one.

Phuket ~ 19 Sep to 22 Sep

Five Stars Tours were having their Pre Natas Travel Fair last weekend ~ 31 Aug to 2 Sep 2007 @ Suntec.

We, Mummy & Daddy, Kor Kor & me all went down. The adults wanna check out some tour packages. Mummy says she wans to take a break b4 going back to work. By means of taking a break means going away, out of Singapore for a short while.

Daddy was interested in the 8 Days Guilin/Halong Bay package. But after enquiring, we realise dat the tour fare advertised only meant for the Guilin tour itself. If wanna include Halong Bay (Vietnam), total wld add up tp abt $1000 plus per person. Nay! Daddy dun wan liao. Hehe.

Mummy enquired about Phuket (Thailand). 3 Days 2 Nights @ Patong City Hotel will cost ard $300 plus per person (Mummy forgot the actual fare). Mummy asked abt Patong Resort. Although only 3 star, it is a very popular resort, exactly on Patong Beach itself, where the major entertainment & nightlife is.

After much consideration & discussion with Daddy, they finally booked 4 Days Phuket, departing on 19 Sep - 22 Sep. Again us kids will not be going. Cos if we go, Daddy & Mummy cannot relax liao. Haha!
