Army Open House 2009

It was a cloudy morning on 06 Sep 09 - Sunday. Papa jokingly said why not go to the Army Open House today? So i asked if he's gonna sent us there? He answered: " No, u bring the kids....."

@#&*...hw am i suppose to look out for 2 kids in a gonna be crowded venue? Just at this moment, my hp rang. Its was sil. She suggested a trip down to the Army Open House.. 这样巧?

We headed down to the Open House @ Pasir Laba Camp, off Jurong West, opp SAFTI. Sil suggested buying some food to bring in, in case there is nothing to purchase inside the camp grounds.

It started off fine till we reached Pasir Laba Camp. The officer informed us that we hv to park our vehicle at Jurong Camp instead and then board the free shuttle bus to Pasir Laba Camp. Well, the other two ( sil & bil) wasnt too happy that they hv to park @ Jurong Camp instead cos up & down the shuttle bus wasnt easy with so much barang barang, such as their stroller, bags & stuff. They were tempted to drive back home. I didnt say anything, except thinking that its such a waste if they come all the way here & js becos of 1 minor setback, they wanna go back instead. I am hitching a ride so i didnt wanna voice out.

They decided to follow the instructions. So we make a u-turn & drove towards Jurong Camp instead. We board the shuttle bus & alighted at Pasir Laba Camp. It was very very crowded - with the sch hols in view.

It was abt 12.15pm when we arrived. I tell u hor....it didnt turn out terrific at all. So many complaints & arguements from those 2... u know who...i didnt particularly enjoy 1 single bit of this trip. A few fotos here & there; a damn untasty lunch & a hasty getaway - home. I think we only spent less than 2 hrs there. Lionel kept on asking why we have to go back so early? I agree. Looking at the phamplet given to us upon entry, there are so many interesting things to see & do which we hvnt & then we hv to be sent home. I can only explain to Lionel that Vicky & Alexis needs their afternoon nap ( which was what was told to me). Excuses! I know that's nt the true reason. More likely, is becos its hot & crowded & everything also must queue that they felt so irritated. Aiyo...u expect the place to be empty ar....no crowd ar.... u wait long long lor.

Anyway, so it is that we headed home & the 2 kids ( mine one) gt no choice but to sleep in the car. Lionel was still very reluctant to go home. I told him nvr mind, next yr we will ask papa to come with us instead.

I was comtemplating to stay behind & continue the tour with Lionel & Rachel but then i was thinking hw in the world are we gonna go back. I didnt know that there are shuttle bus to & fro Boon Lay MRT station.

I voiced out to Papa in the evening. Papa asked why i didnt stay back & then he would pick me up, together with L & R later in the evening. I told him i felt so irritated by those 2 (sil & bil) already. Nvr again would I agree to tack along again.

Splash Park @ SSC 2

二姑 called mummy & asked if she wanna go splash park. "....again?......its a weekly outing for vicky & alexis....buay sian meh?.....ok la, so long the kids enjoy themselves.....ermmm....ok lor....wat time.....hw abt 11.15?.....i meet u at our place downstairs....ok...but u cannot let lionel know leh....y....cos mother say he having slight fever & throat infection....ok..see u..bye..."

Mummy & me went off home quietly cos we dun wanna let kor kor know, otherwise he also want to come & ah ma sure will not allow him wan.

I watched TV while mummy pack my things. 二姑 called & we went down. This time, 二姑丈 did not come along as he has to work. As usual, we went for an early lunch first. Mummy actually suggested to go Jacob Ballard @ Botanical Gardens but 二姑 says if wanna go there, must arrange in advance cos she needs 二姑丈 to be the chaffeur, else she dunno the way.

We played from 12.30pm to abt 1.30pm. We changed & went home. I K.O. in the car along the way back.

No captions this time la....its the same fun we had. Its just that its our 2nd time one weekend after the 1st.

Splash Park @ SSC

16 Aug (sun): 二姑丈asked if we wld like to go to splash park @ SSC. Since mummy got nothing to do so she said ok. Mummy went home to get our barang barang & 二姑丈 together with 二姑, vicky & alexis waited for us downstairs.

The splash park was only open at 2 time slots; 12-2pm & 5-8pm. We went for lunch, shopping & finally headed for the splash park. We changed into our swimming suit & went wild. Mummy tried to take fotos but was afraid the camera wld get wet. So she can only zig zag thru to those dry areas (mummy: my camera still got wet).

We played till abt 1.30pm & then towel dry & change back into our home clothes. We left SCC & headed home. Once home, all 4 of us went into dreamland.

Mummy: Here's 2 videos of the kids getting real wild. In bottom video, i had to stop video-ing rachel half way thru due to the need to avoid 1 large bucket of water nearly splashing onto me from above & also to avoid knocking into a girl. When i regain my position, rachel had shoot off far; i lost sight of her.

Overall, the kids had fun except for 1 boy who sent my blood boiling. He looks abt 9-10 years old & had a little round tummy. He seems wild & went ard, sending his hands splashing with the water & kicking into the little fountains.

What made me mad was he actually stood right in front of rachel & splash water into her face.... i was already eyeing at that boy. I made no move but i told myself, js 1 more move from him....

Know what he did?! He actually used his bulging tummy & pushed rachel, making rachel losing her balance & fell backwards. I ignore the possibilities of gettin real wet cos i was hopping mad. I went over to the boy & grabbed his arms & warned him in a real hard tone " YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO BULLY A SMALL GIRL, MUCH LESS TO SAY SO MUCH YOUNGER THAN YOU! DUN LET ME CATCH U DOING THAT AGAIN, OTHERWISE I WILL TELL UR MOTHER. I WILL BE WATCHING YOU! "

He scoted off, ignoring my warnings & went once again, wild & carefree. But soon, he disappeared from sight. Good thing too!

And i got real wet!

Its Singapore's 44th Birthday today. Singapore has gain independence since 1965 and today marks the 44th year.

Lionel & Vicky had a celebration in sch on Fri & they were asked to wear red & white. And of cos, we the younger ones also want to contribute. So u see all 4 of us wearing red & white. Why red & white leh? Cos it represents our national flag colour - red on the top & white at the bottom. See below illustration.

Surgical Stitches Removal

Mummy was supposed to bring me to remove my surgical stitches at KKH yesterday but ah ma told her not to bother; so lay chey. She said will bring me to normal neighbourhood GP to remove the stitches.

Mummy asked me hw i felt when the doc was removing the stitches. She asked me was there any pain. I told her no. The doc remove the stitches and put them on my hand to show me. My stitches was stitched like the letter Y. But Mummy told me she saw my stitches before & said it look more like a snake.

I hope my wound will recover fast & that i will not leave any scar. Else so ugly....no girl would want me :P
