Mummy was going for her dinner when 舅公 came & told Mummy Rachel is missing. " What? Where?" Mummy gt a shocked. Didnt Mummy saw 舅公 walked behind Rachel all along. Didnt 舅公 set his sights on Rachel thru out? If yes, hw did Rachel go missing.
Mummy panicked. She look all ard outside the shop, passed Guardian, passed POSB, passed the coffee shop, in & ard & out of those make shift stalls selling cny decors & stuff but still no Rachel. Mummy's heart skip a beat. What if? Her thoughts ran wild.....
Mummy went back & told Ah Ma Rachel is missing. Ah Ma also gt a shock & went ard looking for her as well. Mummy told me to stay with the kor kor @ No. 1 Media Centre.
Mummy, Ah Ma & 舅公 went ard, zigzaging ard the tables at the coffee shop just in case Rachel is squatting down somewhere but no sign of her. People we know helped look ard but also cannot find her.
Mummy heart beat faster & faster. Wild thoughts ran in her mind....
Mummy went back to the shop & guess what? Rachel was in the arms of 小姑. Hw come leh? Apparently, Rachel saw 小姑 walking past Guardian & aimed to follow her. But we nvr see 小姑. All Mummy saw was Rachel walking away & since 舅公 was walking along with her, Mummy didnt follow.
小姑 said she heard familiar sounds & turned ard. Rachel was calling after her. She saw Rachel behind her & so she carried her up but 小姑 didnt see 舅公. 舅公 on the other hand said he only saw Rachel zig-zaging ard people ( Chong Pang area was very crowded) & soon lost her.
Mummy was so happy when she saw Rachel in 小姑's arm dat she broke down & cried. ( tears of joy anyway). Mummy carried Rachel & hugged her tightly.
Really 虚惊一场 leh!

When Fever Medication Is Not Available
Mummy: This is something i learnt while watching the re telecast of Glamour Mums & The Dude (辣妈好时尚)- co host by Brian Wong(王禄江)& a different mum for each episode, eg: Pan Ling Ling, Zoe Tay, Huang Biren, etc..
Maybe some of you may know abt this already but according to Pan Ling Ling, here's a little remedy if you cant find paracetomol when ur child is having fever.
2 teaspoon of green beans
half teaspoon of salt
hot boiling water
Put the green beans into a glass. Add half teaspoon of salt & pour in the hot boiling water. Let the beans simmer for abt 15 mins. Drink as per normal, just like drinking plain water. The fever will subside.
I hv yet to try so i do not know if it works but no harm anyway. Will try it out if i remember. :)

Solution
Small luggage
Its occupants.
Big luggage
Its occupants.
Big luggage
Its occupants on one side
Their neighbours
Mummy gt a solution to her packing for our trip to Perth. She bot the Compressed Air Bags @ only $2 per piece, where from? Daiso of cos. Made in Japan somemore. (Some products are made from China though).
These zipper bags helped Mummy easily save alot of space. Usually if we just dump in the clothes into the luggage, the clothes wld hv already taken up at least 80% of the luggage space but with the help of these bags, 50% of the luggage space saved.
So you can see both ours clothings - myself & Rachel's, were easily bundled into the small luggage - mine on 1 side & Rachel's on the other side. For the big luggage, its Daddy's & Mummy's stuff plus the neccessary "condiments". Haha! Same packaging - Daddy's stuff on 1 side & Mummy's the other side. It really helps alot.
But Mummy says may wanna trsf our belongings to another big luggage as well cos seems more & more stuff to pack. Daddy on the other hand says 1 big & 1 small luggage is enuff. Mummy asked Daddy y wanna squeeze. Isnt 2 big luggages better? More storage space & more spread out. Daddy asked Mummy 1 qn: "Who's carrying the luggages? You or me?" Haha :P
Maybe u readers wld like to vote: 1 big & 1 small or 2 big luggages better.

Chinatown
All time favourites - Taiwan Mua Chee
Nian Gao
Sweets
La Wei
Pussy Willows
New Year cookies
New Year cookies
North Bridge Road decor
Eu Tong Sen St decor
New Year crowd
Daddy came home at 7.30pm & say: " Lets go Chinatown". Mummy was a little surprised dat Daddy wld mentioned abt it cos past yrs when Mummy asked Daddy to go, Daddy wld usually reject cos he hate to squeeze with the crowd.
We reach Chinatown ard 8.30pm cos Ah Ma says we hv to finish our dinner first.
The roads looks quite empty. No conjestion at all. Usually ard Chinatown Point, the traffic wld be jammed up but tis yr, the roads are free for one to move easily. Even the small streets where all the stalls are set up looks less then half of last years' crowd. (bearing in mind tis already the last sun b4 cny)
Mummy says due to economic downfall, tis yr's festival not so much of activities. The new year cookies are selling very cheaply, as cheap as like $1.20 per container (usually min $5-$8), new year decors as cheap as $0.50 - $1.00 (usually $2.50 - $3) per piece. Even the size of the stalls are like half of last yr.
Just look at the road decors. So simple but dull. The word "Chun" doesnt stand out. Even the "cows" looks kinda sad. Daddy was wondering if there will be any fireworks but apparently no lor. Mummy mention dat there isnt even any firework set up; no stage = no fire crackers. So quiet!
Anyway, no matter hw the economy is, cny celebrations are still part of Singapore's event. (even for asians ard the world). Here's wishing all:
A Happy Lunar New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai
Wan Shi Ru Yi!!!
GUG lesson 3
I missed lesson 2. Dun tink i will be attending lesson 4 too as its cny eve. Mummy need to help out with the dinner preparations. For tis lesson, we again learn the # 9 cos only 9 of us in class. Teacher drew 9 cars on the board. We learn the letter C - Catina Cat, together with clock, corn & cup.
We also had craft work & confidence builder. For craft, we were given half a corn each, rolled ard our paper after we dipped in colour paint. Tis time, its my turn. I put the corn in my mouth. Mummy hurriedly took wet tissue to clean my mouth & bot me to the toilet to wash up. Teacher Devi even laughed: she knew its gonna happen. Haha... Dun worry! The paint's non toxic.

Packing
Pssst! See wat Mummy is doing! She is taking out the luggages from the store room, cleaning them up & rumaging thru the drawers & cupboards for our clothes. Mummy has to decide for us wat clothes to bring, hw many sets to bring, wat is suitable for the weather over there. You see, though the weather is hot in the day time but can go as low as 15 degrees in the evening.
So light & airy clothing is needed for day wear but a jacket is defintely a must for the evenings. Actually Mummy say only need a wind breaker for each of us but Ah Ma says cannot. A thick sweater is a must. And not forgetting long sleeves clothings. Us kids hv to be kept warm else we fall sick easily. Better if hv a hood over. But hor, we dun hv any so call thick sweater with a hood. Luckily in Chong Pang, there's a shop selling some clothings at a very low price. So Mummy got 2 sweaters for us at only $5 each.
Mummy had been dumping the clothes into the luggage, taking them out again, throwing in more & then take out again. Then she finds the luggage too small, change another one......doing repeated pattern.... and still no conclusion...
Then comes the big headache! Pampers! Milk powder! Kids' toiletries! Additional foot wear! Where on earth can all these stuff go? Mummy wants to bring as little as possible but how can? Surely hv to bring heaps when travelling with kids. And its NOT a good bargain to buy over in Aust.
Maybe u all wondering why Mummy start packing so early. Its still abt 11 days away ma. Cos Mummy says packing luggage & unpacking is no easy feat. If only the adts goin, then its "chicken feet" but plus us 2 kids, hv to consider the neccessecities very carefully. ONCE our stuff are done packing, then Mummy will hv an easier time packing their own stuff. Ya once.....
Next mid week onwards, Ah Gong will be very busy, taking care of all the food needed for praying & reunion dinner. Ah Ma will also be busy helping. So Mummy hv to take care of us 2 monkeys, thus will not hv so much time to "pack & unpack"
And hor.....Mummy STILL hv not finish doing the spring cleaning yet. Mummy always say do spring cleaning must see her mood & haiz, Mummy has no mood to do it lor. Luckily only left the windows & door & a small potion in the kitchen where Mummy is waiting for Daddy to remove the fridge. Then on CNY eve, then do the final wrap up - sweeping & mopping of the floor. Then all done!
Till then, our trip to Perth - 26 Jan till 01 Feb 2009. See ya!

Computer Enrichment
Teacher Shufen gave Mummy a consent form to enrol me into the sch's computer enrichment class. Its 1 hr/session, 10 sessions/term. But not for free lor. There is the fees to be paid which is $120 per term.
Haiz! $$ again. Mummy passed the form to Daddy but he say nothing. Only lamenting why so expensive. Is dat a consent or a no no? No answer given.
12 Jan 09 - answer to above qn: daddy felt its a waste of time & $$ to learn now cos he tinks dat most prob its only playing of games. In daddy's words, wat can a 4 yr old learn now; dun tink the sch will teach software & hardware progs rite? Mummy felt dat its most prob those vocab exercises like fill in the blanks or puzzle, words, number games. Tis can be played on those ordinary home computer also ma. So daddy says will enrol me next year instead.
The lessons will be conducted every Mon after class at 12 noon. They just paid for my speech & drama class, 1st fees at $80 per mth & subsequently $60 per mth. Now another $120 for computer enrichment.
And hor, sch fees increased liao lor.
Sch fees: $215
S&D: $80
Computer: $120
Total: $415

Hair Lice Outbreak
My sch gt a hair lice outbreak. The principal gave all students a ltr to inform their parents. I passed the ltr to Mummy and she was like " Yucks! Hair Lice?! Goodness!
My sch said dat they will take all neccessary measures to monitor the situation. I asked Mummy wat is hair lice & she told me dat its like thousands of little white insects living & eating inside my hair. Eeeeeee.........so horrible!
I hope the affected students will recover soon & joined back their class. Its so terrible to miss lessons when it just started. :P

Chalet @ Aloha Changi
The long awaited chalet - 02 Jan to 04 Jan 2009. We had booked our chalet at Aloha Changi, off Loyang Ave, near SIA Sports Club.
We only went in on Sat evening. Er Gu & Er Gu Zhang checked in on Fri though. Mummy went in on Sat morning & helped get things prepared. Why i only went in the evenin is becos i am still having throat infection & the adts dun wan me playing & screaming ( knowing us kids - dat's wat we do whenever we see each other) else my infection might get worst. Ah Ma wans me to rest so dat i will be in perfect health for my trip to Aust which is soon. :)
So me & Rachel went in the evening, together with Daddy, Ah Ma, Da Gu & Xiao Gu & Li Wei Gu Gu. We played, ate, drank. There were lots of food - pork cutlet, chix meat, curry chix, fried bee hoon, fishball, sweet potato, etc.... even otah which Daddy bot at the last min cos they claim dat there were nt enuff food to go ard.
Daddy even told Mummy he wanted to go Sheng Siong to buy live fish & "peng kan" over at the chalet but he changed his mind.
Gu Po even joked dat we shd all hv our reunion dinner at the chalet cos the area
is so big - 3 bedrooms, a huge kitchen area & a big living hall. Gu Po says it looks like their old kampong hse, only the kampong hse is much much more bigger. Er Gu says they also hv 8 bedroom unit. If really wan to hv reunion dinner, must take the 8 bedroom one so can house everybody. Haha...like real. How to? Then the praying hw? ( 拜天公) All rushed back to to pray meh? From Changi to Yishun???
