Ballet .... and a little Jazz

13 May 2012 (Sun):

Before they begin their regular routine for the day, Rachel & her classmates did a little dance item, sometimes 2 with their teacher. " Mama-mia " & " Greased Lightning ". The kids combined smooth ballet moves with quick jazz moves.

Regrets to inform i do not have my camera with me. But even if i do, I may not have the chance to take fotos or videos as i'm watching from the outside. Let me try my luck next week.

On a side note, Rachel will begin her first coaching lesson this coming Thursday, in preparation for the exam taking place in Nov 2012. Time from 730pm ~ 815pm.  I'm wondering how many students signed up for it.

On a even lighter note, perhaps I should take time off to sneak around abit. Hehe..

Farewell

11 May 2012 (Fri):

We went to the airport this evening to bid farewell to our ex colleague who will be gg overseas to further her studies. But she will not be gone for long. She is only doing a short intensive course on French & at the same time, to tour Europe while she's there. Good life.

This is Ilyssa. She's the one gg overseas. At the bottom video is a comical shot of our TM gg for tour leading assignment. Not the star for the evening though. Haha.. Everyone has very good acting skills. We all pretended he's the one leaving Singapore for good.

Mathematics Recapped

In approximate another 2 weeks more, semester 1 will end & the 1 month long school holidays will begin. Lets do a recap on Lionel's Maths. He has learned & practised on the following so far & I'm pleased to report he did well overall, is able to grasp & understand the topics & concepts taught.

And i'm proud to say Lionel did extremely well for his Maths Quiz during the Math Carnival Week held sometimes back in April. Credits given to his FT as well for having taught well.

Received a note from Lionel indicating his mid year assessment for English & Maths. It will be on 15 May (Tues) &17 May (Thurs) respectively. Topics covered including The Jiagaree & Ants In A Hurry for English, Numbers 1 to 20 & Addition n Subtraction Within 20.

Caught a movie @ Cathay Cineleisure with some colleagues. A very good movie & very recommended (is there such a word) to watch. Love " The Incredible Hawk " & his hilarious tactics.

Pulau Ubin

01 May 2012 (Tues):


In less than 24 hours after we decided on a destination, the 3 of us boarded a ferry to Pulau Ubin. We had fun & took many photos... I did a little collage on the below photos.

We started off from Changi Ferry Terminal, rented a bike upon arrival & explored the island, though not every part of it. My friend's grandpa lived on the island & we went for a visit. Oh, the cooling coconuts we were treated on made the strong sun rays bearable.

We had fun & lots of laughter were shared. We took quite a fair bit of photos too, mostly on my friends' camera. They were all silly poses & we laughed at ourselves most of the time.

We had our dinner at Bedok Central & went back home around 7 plus in the evening. OMG... its back to work the next day....
